After 22 years in the hair industry, I feel very fortunate to still love my career. That and my extensive training and my personal need to consistently learn and grow in this profession enable me the ability to create a total look for my clients. It always gives me a great feeling of satisfaction that I can help someone look and feel great.
I started in 1987, graduating top of my class in Beauty College in Santa Barbara, CA. I was fortunate enough to get my first job at Ducat International. There I assisted Walter Claudio and received training from industry leaders such as Hans Wolfe of Aveda fame. We were also a Schwarzkopf training center which enabled me to travel as part of their education team. I did platform work at some of the larger hair shows including Long Beach International. In 1993 I directed the team that won best education at IBS Seattle.
After moving to San Francisco, I worked at 77 Maiden Lane, Hair Play and Joe Hamer. Consistently surrounding myself with industry leaders has always pushed me to strive for the best in my professional practices.
In 2005 I began extensive research and training in the field of hair extensions. I choose to implement the strand by strand copper tube method which I have found to be the least damaging. As always, my goal is to help clients achieve a total look while maintaining the integrity of your hair. Extension consultations are always complimentary.
Working at Descend Salon has yet again enabled me to work among amazing colleagues who always strive for the best. We pride ourselves on being a professional, education driven salon. Descend is also environmentally conscious from the products we carry, to offering low flow water saving heads at the shampoo bowl and even recycling our hair clippings which are used to make hair mats to help soak up oil spills. I can even offer ammonia free color products. This all falls in line with my personal beliefs about environmental consciousness and I look forward to the opportunity to help you meet all of your hair needs and goals.
